Aidan Sullivan
Presidente do JúriVice president of photo assignments for Getty Images. He began his career as a photographer for a local newspaper in the UK and then worked as a freelance news photographer in Fleet Street. He joined The Sunday Times as deputy picture editor and became picture editor, before joining The Sunday Times Magazine as assistant editor responsible for all of the photography. Aidan won the International Picture Editor of the Year at Visa Pour l'Image 2000 and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. Chairman of World Press Photo Awards 2012.
João Silva
In 1991 worked for The Star, a Johannesburg daily newspaper, as a staff photographer before joining the Associated Press in 1994. In 1996 became a regular freelancer for the The New York Times, becoming a contract photographer in 2000. In 2000, he co-authored with Greg Marinovich 'The Bang-Bang Club', a factual account of press photographers who covered the end of the apartheid era in South Africa. In 2005 published In The Company of God, a photographic book on the Iraqi Shi'a during the American occupation. In October 2010, he was seriously injured in Afghanistan, while working for The New York Times, where he remain a staff photographer. He was born in 1966 in Lisbon, and lives with his family in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Cheryl Newman
For more than fifteen years she was the Photography Director of the Telegraph Magazine, securing many awards such as The Amnesty International Media Photojournalism Award in 2014. She has been a committee member of the Royal Photographic Society. She has served as a judge for many photographic awards including; PhotoEvidence Book Award 2015, the Flash Forward Award 2015 and the 2015 Moran Contemporary Photography Prize, Sydney. At present she is curating, Time To See, a long-term project on avoidable blindness within the Commonwealth for the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, We Feed The World, an exhibition and book project documenting small framers globally, and running an ongoing twelve-week mentorship programme with Capa Gold Medal winner 2015, Marcus Bleasdale and working on book projects.
Laurent Rebours
Work’s for Associated Press at the Paris bureau for the last 30 years. As an news agency photographer, covers local stuff such as politic, daily life, economy, sports events, Cannes Festival, French open Tennis, Tour de France, and also international news stories mainly in conflict zones: Afghanistan, Balkan war, Gulf wars, Gaza strip and the occupied territories in Israel. In 2005, he took the position of the head of the photo for AP in France and North Africa managing a team of 15 people.
